Event Details

AmCham Mongolia is pleased to invite you to our June Monthly Meeting: Regional Digital Economy Forum, scheduled to take place on June 20, 2023, at Ballroom 3, Shangri-La, followed by special Networking Reception proudly sponsored by Faro Foundation NGO and X-meta.

The AmCham Mongolia's ICT and Digital Economy Committee is dedicated to promoting the development of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and services in Mongolia. The purpose of the forum is to support and accelerate the digital economy in Mongolia and Asia, by educating Mongolian policymakers and ICT experts and exchanging know-how and expertise on the regional digital policy landscape, policy initiatives, the latest trends concerning data privacy, cybersecurity, emerging AI, and new technologies.

The field of digital policy has emerged as a distinct area of focus, intersecting digitalization and politics. Digital policy decisions have a unique characteristic of influencing each other on national, regional, and global levels due to international interconnectedness. This necessitates a different negotiation and coordination process, involving multiple actors.

The digital policy experts from MangoTango and AmChams in Mongolia, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand will be invited to share their country-specific policy advocacy issues and case studies from their respective countries.

We are pleased to extend an invitation to our valued stakeholders and partners to join us in this forum. The event will feature panel sessions and keynote speeches addressing the digital policy landscape, cybersecurity, data privacy/ownership, as well as the challenges and opportunities arising from the surge in Artificial Intelligence.

Together, let us engage in meaningful discussions and chart a path forward.

The in-person RSVP approval will be based on a sector-specific first come first serve basis. For people working in different sectors/industries, RSVP is not guaranteed.

The Zoom link to attend online will be provided by separate email. Simultaneous translation is available in both online and in-person formats.
