AmCham Mongolia is pleased to invite you to the second day of the ICT Week: Web 3.0: What's Next?, scheduled to take place on June 3 at Ballroom, Shangri-La.
Many tech industry experts from leading international and domestic companies are confirmed to discuss web 3.0, and sponsors from overseas and leading domestic companies, and tech start-ups will be exhibiting during the event. The meeting will have simultaneous translation and will be streamed via Zoom, and a Zoom link will be provided with a separate email.
Backround:
Rapid digitalization is affecting all aspects of life including the way we interact, work, shop, and receive services, as well as how value is created and exchanged. Due to COVID-19, we have faced an unplanned speedy transaction to the digital economy and it has become an inseparable part of our businesses across sectors.
We also want to bring international experts, especially from US-based tech companies who are leading in fintech, IoT, cybersecurity, mining, agritech, and so on to hear their ideas and learn from them.
We propose to declare that the first week of June will be the AmCham Tech Week every year and this year will be the first one.
As a policy advocate for the private sector, AmCham's ICT and Digital Economy Committee shall take a lead in the discussion around the following ideas but not limited to:
- How new technologies are emerging in different sectors?
- How have policy and regulations been responding to those data and their use in Mongolia?
- What policy framework and support can be given to nurturing new sectors as well as encouraging direct investment flows to the country by handling domestic and cross-border data flow soundly?
- What are the key strengths and scalable sectors for Mongolia when it comes to Information Technology?
- How do businesses conduct and adopt innovations and technologies? Any successful transition in key sectors such as Mining, Agriculture, and Construction?
- How do we create nurturing ecosystem for tech industry growth?
